  WHY WOULD I NEED A

    CYCLING COACH?

Can you answer the following sample questions?  If not, you should  consider a cycling coach.

*Should I push, pull or both with clipless pedals?  Why?
*What is the most efficient way to breathe?  Why?
*How can I shorten my recovery time?
*Can I ever get better at climbing?
*What are your responsibilities when riding in a group?
*How comfortable are you in bike handling skills and

     balance?

If you could increase your speed by 2—4 m.p.h. on any given ride just by better technique and/or a proper bike fitting, would you be interested? It doesn’t take a great deal of time or major expense to get there. Just a desire to improve and be your best.

From the beginner to the competitive cyclist, having technique and maximum efficiency with the least amount of effort is very hard to find. Yes, even competitive cyclists, especially at the local level, may be able to go fast, but many lack the knowledge to achieve maximum output with minimal effort. That’s where understanding biomechanics (natural body alignment)comes into play.

For the triathlete, the bike is where you usually can make up time the quickest.  With the bike in between swimming and running, having the most efficient technique helps to reduce unnecessary effort.  That's a big deal coming out of the water and leading into the run.  So is learning how to give different parts of your body a chance to rest while riding.
Incorrect breathing is the most common problem with cyclists. Training your body to breathe correctly can actually improve your recovery...even while climbing!!! A close second is bad pedaling technique. These and a host of other scenarios can be specifically addressed with the right approach. MyCycleCoach.com can custom design an action plan to correct any improper cycling technique or bio-mechanical issue and turn you into the best cyclist you can be.

See ya on the road....

RIDING SKILLS CLASS A BIG HIT!!!

After four years of coaching one-on-one, Robert Wilhite, Owner of MyCycleCoach.com, just completed his first Riding Skills class...and it was a huge success.  Waiting lists already for future classes!!!

Every topic seemed to hit a cord with every attendee, as their heads started shaking acknowledging that either they had seen other cyclists or themselves do things improperly and sometimes unsafely.  Speaking of safety, each attendee began to realize that safety was an integral part of and had relevance to every riding topic taught.
